JSU CAREER:Fall 2021: Appeared in 10 of JSU’s 11 contests…recorded 15 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss…had a sack against Abilene Christian on Nov. 6…posted a season-high five tackles in the win over Stephen F. Austin on Oct. 9.
Fall 2020/Spring 2021: Started seven of his 12 games played... recorded a career-high 19 tackles on the year including six solo stops and his first career sack against Tennessee Tech on February 28th for a loss of 4 yards.
2019: Appeared in six contests in his second season, including the first five games of the year...assisted on one tackle on September 28 at Austin Peay.
2018: Made appearances in three contests in his first year at defensive line for the Gamecocks... Recorded his first tackle for JSU on Sept. 8 against Mississippi Valley State in the first home contest of 2018... Also made appearances against Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years for head coach Brad Stephens at South Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Ga…named a two-star recruit by Rivals.com…a two-time first team all-region selection…named an APS All-Star his senior season…recorded 40 tackles during his senior campaign, including 11 tackles for loss…also lettered in baseball as a pitcher and corner infielder…boasts a 3.2 GPA…chose the Gamecocks over Alabama State, Charleston Southern, Florida A&M, Presbyterian and Western Carolina.
PERSONAL: Born on September 10, 1999, in Atlanta, Ga…the son of Anthony Howard and Laketa Nesby…one of five siblings with brothers, Ty and Antonio, and sisters, Ayanna and Sheniece…majoring in physical education at JSU.
