JSU CAREER:
2011:
Played in 10 of the Gamecocks’ 11 games as a junior, starting nine in the offensive backfield… was a First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference pick after rushing for 1,082 yards on 178 carries…his rushing total was second in the OVC and made him just the 10th player in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season and the first since 2006…he was also named to the league’s All-Newcomer Squad and was the league’s Newcomer of the Week four times…averaged 108.2 yards per game and was second on the team with nine touchdowns…his 6.1 yards per carry was second in the OVC…in OVC play, averaged 118.7 yards per game and 6.3 yards per carry…had five games with more than 100 yards on the ground, including a 217-yard performance against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 5, the fifth-most rushing yards in a game in school history…named the league’s Newcomer of the Week after his first game in  a JSU uniform in the season opener vs UTM by leading the Jax State rushing attack with 41 yards on 13 attempts and hauling in his first career TD pass in the third quarter - a 43 yard strike from Coty Blanchard...registered his first JSU rushing TD in Week Two at UTC...turned in 82 yards on 21 carries against Georgia State, including a 4-yard TD run in the third quarter…became JSU’s first 100-yard rusher of the season with 155 yards on a season-high 24 carries against Eastern Illinois and averaged 6.5 yards per carry with a long run of 27 yards.....finished with 143 yards at Murray State the next week and then backed that with 124 yards vs. Austin Peay and 120 yards at Kentucky to become the first Gamecock to rush for 100-yards or more in four-straight games since Clay Green in 2005…in his 217-yard performance vs. Eastern Kentucky, had an  83-yard TD run in the fourth quarter that was the longest rushing play of the season for JSU…missed the Southeast Missouri game with a hamstring injury but bounced back to gain 83 yards and a score on 15 carries in a win at Tennessee State in the season finale.


PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Played two seasons at the University of Georgia for Mark Richt, before transferring to Jacksonville State on June 2, 2011…led the Bulldogs in rushing for two years…as a sophomore in 2010, appeared in 12 games and started seven…finished the season with 811 yards and 11 touchdowns on 157 carries…also had eight pass receptions for 85 yards…ranked 10th in the SEC in rushing yards per game at 67.5…named preseason All-SEC first team by Athlon Sports and second team by Lindy’s and Phil Steele…named to watch list for the Maxwell Award…had his best game of the season after being named the CFPA National Running Back of the Week at Kentucky, where he carried a career-high 28 times for 157 yards and a Georgia school-record five rushing touchdowns (which tied Robert Edwards for the school-record for the most TDs scored in a game)…led the Bulldogs with 17 carries for 123 yards, including a career-long 58, with one touchdown against Vanderbilt…had 118 yards and scored tow touchdown on 13 carries versus Georgia Tech…also scored a single rushing touchdown at No. 2 Auburn, versus Florida and vs No. 12 Arkansas…as a true freshman in 2009, earned one of team’s Newcomer of the Year awards for offense after rushing for a team-high 717 yards on 125 carries and three touchdowns…played in nine games and started two…named All-SEC fourth team by Phil Steele…named SEC Freshman of the Week twice…made his Bulldog debut versus No. 4 LSU, carrying eight times for 33 yards…made his first-career start at Vanderbilt and led team in rushing with 71 yards on 13 carries…against No. 1 Florida, carried 17 times for 70 yards and made first-career reception (20 yards)…had a team-best 89 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries against Tennessee Tech…named SEC Freshman of the Week after rushing for 98 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown against No. 25 Auburn…named SEC Freshman of the Week after rushing for 183 yards on 20 carries at No. 7 Georgia Tech.
