HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Central High (2012-14) and Colbert County High (2014-15)…played for head coach Phil Bates at Colbert Co….first team All-State selection senior season…4-time all-district honors…senior season hit .402 with six home runs, eight doubles and 42 RBI…also stole 15 bases…was named team Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and team Pitcher of the Year in 2013.
PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 28, 1996 in Sheffield, Ala…the son of Derek and Regina Stracener…has an older brother Steven, and a younger brother, Nolan…majoring in occupational and health management at JSU…would like to become a nurse anesthetist.
