(2016): A key component to the JSU outfield and earned a spot in the line up against Oral Roberts (3/15)…saw action in 39 games and started 34 games…also pegged in to the designated hitters spot and at third base…finished the season hitting .347 after collecting 50 hits in 144 at at bats…one of nine Gamecocks with double figure doubles with 14, which helped Jax State finish third in the nation in doubles and led the nation in doubles per game (2.50)…ranked second on the club in triples with four and added a pair of home runs…drove in 22 runs and scored 31 runs…had a slugging percentage of .542…went to the dish seven times in JSU’s 26-11 win at Belmont (4/30) and scored three time after posting three hits…drove in four runs twice against Ohio Valley Conference foes – at Tennessee Tech (4/15) and against Eastern Kentucky (5/6)…tallied four three-hit games, including a trio of hits at Tech…had home runs against Tech and Murray State (4/8)...recorded 16 multiple hit games and five multi-RBI contests…registered a hit in 13 straight games to end the 2016 season.
PRIOR TO JSU: Spent two seasons with coaches Wynn Fletcher and Steve Lewis at Central Alabama CC in Alexander City, Ala…hit .289 sophomore season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played three seasons at Prattville High before finishing his senior year at Edgewood Academy…played for head coach Bobby Carr…first team all-district selection batting .414 senior season…member of the 2012 2A AISA Baseball State Championship team and 2011 2A AISA Football State Championship team…rushed for more than 1,000 yards in football…former teammate of Auburn’s Cole Lipscomb.
PERSONAL: Born Amard Reynolds on July 11, 1994 in Montgomery, Ala…the son of Chris and Carol Reynolds…has two older siblings, brother Chris, and sister Erica…also recruited by Murray State, South Alabama and Troy…majoring in liberal studies at JSU.
