JSU CAREER:
(2017): Earned All-OVC Second Team honors after tossing a team-high 85.2 innings in 15 starts in his second year as a Gamecock … finished the season with a 7-3 record, a team-high 94 strikeouts, 45 walks, 48 earned runs and a 5.04 earned run average … posted a 6-1 mark and struck out 65 batters in 61.0 innings of OVC play …threw a career-high 8.0 innings of two-earned run baseball against Tennessee Tech on April 7, 2017 … against the Golden Eagles, he struck out 10 batters and did not walk anyone before being named OVC Pitcher of the Week for his performance … Gamecocks went 10-5 in games started by Adams … went 7.0 innings and did not allow a run against Eastern Kentucky on April 28.

(2016): Made 17 appearances as a true freshman, including eight starts in his first season at Jax State…made his collegiate debut on opening day against Valparaiso (2/19)…earned a win against Western Kentucky (3/6) after working the final frame…collected his second win of the season against SIU Edwardsville (3/11) after finishing off the final two outs in the first game of the doubleheader…made his first start against in-state rival Samford (3/22) and the following midweek outing against Alabama State (3/30)…turned in a win over ASU after going the first 4.1 innings of the contest, limiting the Hornets to a run on two hits and tallying three strikeouts…threw three innings of work in JSU’s 16-inning marathon at Troy, scattering three hits and turned in three strikeouts…returned to a starters role at South Alabama (3/5) and had his best outing of the season…held the Jaguars scoreless through 4.2 innings and gave up two USA hits and posted six strikeouts…earned starts on Ohio Valley Conference weekends against Eastern Kentucky (5/8), Morehead State (5/15) and against UT Martin (5/21)…also started against Southeast Missouri in the championship round of the OVC Tournament…lasted a season-best 5.1 innings in the start against EKU and had five strikeouts in the outing…accounted for 38.1 innings pitched as a freshman and tallied 30 strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Austin High in Decatur, Ala., under coaches Mike Henson, Paul Averitt and Tyler Stephenson…finished career with .350 batting average and 19-8 pitching record with 2.04 ERA…named team MVP his junior and senior season…three-time Decatur Daily All-Area…former teammate of Auburn pitcher, Justin Camp, and North Alabama’s Chris Sparkman…was Class President and member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Born on March 8, 1997 in Decatur, Ala…the son of Marty and Dena Adams…has a younger sister, Sydney…also recruited by UAB, South Alabama, Troy, UAH and others…majoring in secondary education at JSU.
