Biography

JSU CAREER:
2019: Started five games before being sidelined with a season-ending injury against Austin Peay...caught 25 passes for 330 yards and a touchdown...longest reception and only touchdown of the year came in the home opener against Chattanooga for a 48-yard reception...the Chattanooga game also became the highest receiving day of his career with six catches for 151 yards...made multiple catches in four of the five games played in.

2018: Made six starts in 12 appearances in his sophomore year with the Gamecocks... Was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team on offense and the HERO Sports Sophomore All-American Team... Caught 32 passes for 503 yards and a touchdown... His touchdown reception came on a 44-yard catch and run against Eastern Illinois which would also be his longest reception of the year in the Gamecocks’ 49-22 win over the Panthers... His highest receiving day came against Kennesaw State at SunTrust Park in Atlanta against Kennesaw State as he caught 5 passes for 115 yards with a long of 29 yards... had multiple catches in 7 of 12 games played in.

2017: Started three games and appeared in 11 games at tight end as a true freshman…was deemed a Freshman All-American by both Phil Steele and HERO Sports…named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Second Team on offense…caught 10 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns…made his debut Aug. 26 in the season opener against Chattanooga in Montgomery, Ala…his first touchdown reception was for 80 yards against Liberty on Sept. 23 at Burgess-Snow Field…the 80-yard touchdown catch against the Flames was the seventh-longest catch in JSU history and second-longest TD catch by a freshman…his second scoring catch was for six yards against Austin Peay on Oct. 7 and his last was a 65-yarder against Southeast Missouri on Oct. 28…pulled down multiple catches (2) in three contests.

HIGH SCHOOL:  A two-star recruit by Scout.com, Rivals.com and 247Sports.com…played for head coach Ben Blackmon at Spanish Fort High School in Spanish Fort, Ala…helped lead the Toros to a 10-3 overall record, 7-1 region record and two playoff wins in 2016…named All-County First Team… split time at quarterback, tight end and receiver…also lettered in basketball and track…earned Basketball and Track Athlete of the Week honors from the Mobile Optimist Club…chose the Gamecocks over offers from Troy, Arkansas State, Mercer, Tennessee Tech, Lamar University and Mississippi College.
 
PERSONAL: Born on May 26, 1998, in Fairhope, Ala…the son of Mike and Charlene Barry…has two sisters – Trista and Tessa…majoring in business management at JSU.
