Biography

JSU Career:
Fall 2020/Spring 2021:
Started all 13 games his junior year at defensive end... finished the year named to the Stats Perform All-American Second Team as well as the All-OVC First Team defense for the second-straight year...was fifth on the team in tackles with 55, including 27 solo takedowns and 28 with assistance... led the defense in tackles for loss with 12 for -61 yards as well as sacks with 9 for 51 yards lost...led the OVC and was second in the nation in sacks... had a new career-high day against North Alabama on October 17 with nine tackles for the second time in his career, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack for a loss of three yards and a quarterback hurry... also finished the year with three pass breakups, 14 quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble recovery against Murray State. 

2019: Started 11 of his 13 games played in during his second year as a Gamecock... named second team All-OVC Defense for the first honor of his career before being named to the third team All-America Team by HERO Sports... tied for fourth on the team in tackles with All-American defensive back Marlon Bridges with 59 total, 24 unassisted and 35 assisted...led the team in tackles for loss with 10.5 for 43 yards lost as well as sacks with 5 for losses of 31 yards and 28 quarterback hurries...his career-best game came against Austin Peay where he had 1.5 tackles for loss of six yards, a sack for a loss of four yards, a season high nine tackles, including his first of two games with 5 solo tackles... also recorded a forced fumble against Chattanooga and two pass breakups on the year.
 
2018: Made appearances in 11 of 13 games in his first year as a defensive end for the Gamecocks... Recorded 11 tackles including seven unassisted and 2.5 tackles for loss for a total of 4 yards... Also picked up his first sack in a Gamecock uniform against Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 8.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Brad Stevens at South Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Ga…chosen to participate in the APS All-Star Game, where he was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player…an all-region performer as a senior in 2017…chose JSU over several offers that included Troy, Western Kentucky, East Carolina and Central Arkansas.

PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 22, 1998, in Atlanta, Ga…the son of Darrell Coleman and Tiyura Bell…majoring in business at JSU.
