2019: Appeared in all 12 games this season, working mostly on Jax State’s special teams...recorded four tackles on the year, three of which were solo stops.
2018: Made appearances in all 13 games in his first full year in a Gamecock uniform...played as a special teams utility, he made his first tackle on Oct. 27 against Murray State.
2017: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years at Demopolis High School for head coaches Stacy Luker and Tom Causey…helped the Tigers to the Class 5A Region 3 Championship in 2016 and Class 5A Region 4 Championship in 2015…was named All-West Alabama and All-County during his junior and senior seasons…saw game action at both quarterback and safety…also lettered in track three seasons and soccer one season…competed in the 4X1 and 300 hurdles at the AHSAA Track & Field State Championships…maintained a 3.75 GPA.
PERSONAL: Born June 4, 1999 in Demopolis, Ala…son of Mark and Trish McVay…has two brothers – Matthew and Chance…majoring in applied manufacturing engineering.
