PRIOR TO JSU: Spent two seasons at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky...sat out the 2017 season as a redshirt and then saw action in two games as a redshirt-freshman in 2018…was part of the Hilltoppers short-yardage package.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for head coach Lee Carter at Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Ala…a three-star recruit by 247Sports and ESPN and a two-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com…one of the top 100 players in the state of Alabama in his class and the top 170 in the nation…helped his offense average 310 yards of total offense per game over an 11-game season and helped to anchor an offensive front which produced a pair of 400-yard rushers…played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.
PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 1, 1999, in San Francisco, Calif…the son of Preston Mixon, Sr., and Michelle Perry…has an older sister – Anesha, and two younger brothers – Bryson and Carter…majoring in sports management at JSU.
