Biography

2009 OUTLOOK: Transferred to Jacksonville State in May after playing both wide receiver and runningback the previous three seasons for Georgia Tech…is expected to play a major role for the Gamecock offense with his playmaking ability that he has shown over the last three years…will add maturing and stability to an experienced wide receiver corp.

AT GEORGIA TECH: (2008) Played A-back in 2008 after serving as Tech’s top wide receiver in 2007... rushed for two touchdowns...averaged 7.5 yards per carry and 18.5 yards per reception…carried once for a three-yard touchdown run vs. Florida State (Nov. 1)...carried three times for 14 yards vs. Duke (Oct. 4)... rushed three times for 62 yards including a 45-yard touchdown run vs. Mississippi State (Sept. 20)...had two carries for five yards at Virginia Tech (Sept. 13).. got his first taste of the A-back position with three carries for 14 yards and two receptions for 37 yards in the season opener vs. Jacksonville State (Aug. 28)…(2007) Played in 12 games and started seven times... missed the Nov. 10 Duke game with an injury but returned the next week with one of the best games of his career... had two rushing attempts on the season for 24 yards and one touchdown... led Georgia Tech in total receptions (37) and receiving yards (588) despite missing one game... averaged 15.9 yards per reception... caught two touchdown passes... caught three passes for 31 yards, including a 28-yarder, and rushed once for 18 yards in an impressive season-opening performance at Notre Dame (Sept. 1)... had a six-yard TD run vs. Samford (Sept. 8)... hauled in five passes for 63 yards vs. Boston College (Sept. 15)... topped that effort the next week at Virginia (Sept. 22) with five more catches for 79 yards... caught five passes for 82 yards at Maryland (Oct. 6)... sat out the Duke game (Nov. 10) with an injury, but rebounded the next week vs. North Carolina with the best game of his young career... had six receptions for a career-best 155 yards and two TDs... had three catches for 45 yards in the bowl game…(2006) Tech's fifth-leading receiver with seven catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns... averaged 16.1 yards per catch... caught three passes for 49 yards in the second half of Tech's win over Duke, including touchdowns of 20 and 25 yards from Taylor Bennett... had a nine-yard reception vs. second-ranked Notre Dame... added two catches for 38 yards versus Troy and a 17-yard completion against Samford.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Gary Cantrell at Douglass High School…rated the No. 62 wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.com...First-team all-area and honorable mention all-state (Class AAAAA) by the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution... named to the Preseason Super 11 for Atlanta/South Metro by the AJC... All-region selection by PrepStar preseason magazine...one of eight Division I signees on his high school team...caught 26 passes for 947 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior and was team captain and named Most Valuable Player…added 32 catches for 878 yards and eight TDs as a junior.
