HIGH SCHOOL: Played quarterback at Columbia High School under head coaches Brian Allen and Craig Howard…named first-team all-district as a senior in 2012 and was an honorable mention selection in 2011…also named first-team all-region as a senior…led the Tigers to a 12-2 record and a district championship in 2012…finished his high school career with over 3,300 passing yards while throwing 33 touchdowns and just six interceptions…rushed for 714 yards and 13 touchdowns while also posting a career record of 20-4.

PERSONAL: Full name is Jayce Allen Barber…son of David and Terri Barber…born on February 27, 1995…has one sister, Shaylin, and two brothers, Blayne and Shayne…brother Blayne was an All-American golfer at Auburn and is currently playing professionally…majoring in communications at JSU.
