JSU CAREER
2014: Played in all 12 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, earning the start at safety 11 times…was third on the team and tops in the secondary with 71 tackles, including 43 solo stops and four for a loss…broke up one pass at Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 8 and recorded a quarterback hurry in the season opener at Michigan State…recovered one fumble and returned it 48 yards at Tennessee State on Oct. 11…was named the OVC Defensive Player of the Week and the National Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 9 after picking up 14 tackles, 12 solo and one for a loss, and a break up in a win at Eastern Kentucky…had 10 tackles in the FCS Second Round Playoff loss to Sam Houston on Dec. 6…racked up eight tackles twice, at Michigan State on Aug. 29 and at Tennessee State on Oct. 11…had six tackles, five solo, against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 15.
2013: Saw action in 10 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…made six tackles on the year…recorded his first career stop against Murray State on Sept. 28.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played final two seasons for head coach John Reid at East Paulding High School…named first-team all-county as a senior…finished his senior year with 56 tackles, two interceptions and four pass break-ups…also lettered in basketball, track and wrestling…won a county championship in wrestling...played his first two seasons at McEachern High School.
PERSONAL: Full name is Olatunde Folo Johnson…son of Taiwo Onalaya and Tunde Johnson…born on September 3, 1993, in New York, N.Y…has one brother, Daniel, and three sisters, Comfort, Deborah and Destiny…majoring in accounting at JSU.
