JSU CAREER: 2017: A veteran on the JSU offensive line with 12 starts at the center position…paved the way for JSU to rank among the leaders in the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing offense and the Gamecocks led the league in scoring offense…Jax State led the OVC in first downs per game at 19.5 per game and averaged over 200 yards on the ground…graded out at 86 percent on the season.
2016: Appeared in 11 games after missing the 2015 season due to injury…helped open holes for Gamecock rushers to average 250.6 rushing yards in 12 games and total 32 touchdowns on the ground…member of an offensive line unit which allow JSU runners to top the 3,000-rushing yard mark during the season…helped block for former All-American quarterback Eli Jenkins, who tossed 2,107 yards and 11 touchdowns on the year with a passing efficiency of 113.28 for the year.
2015: Missed season due to injury.
2014: Played in six games as a redshirt freshman on an offensive line that paved the way for the Gamecocks to break a school record for yards per game at 510.8 per contest…helped the offense rank fourth nationally in total offense and tops in the Ohio Valley Conference in that category…paced the rushing attack that led the OVC…member of the offensive line that allowed just 18 sacks throughout the 2014 season, which was third-best in the conference…was a part of the Gamecocks’ Heavy package for short yardage situations…suffered an injury at Southeast Missouri that forced him to miss the remainder of the season.
2013: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Bessemer Academy and played for Josh Wright…helped lead the Rebels to a 12-1 mark during the 2011 season en route to the AISA AAA State Championship.
PERSONAL: Born August 4, 1996…son of Sam and Felecia Scozzaro…has a younger sister, Kaylee…majoring in business management at JSU.
