JSU Career:
2019: Appeared in eight games, including four-straight to begin the season...recorded four tackles on the year, three of them solo...picked up a tackle in each of the last three games he played in... made a crucial field goal block in the comeback victory over No. 4 Eastern Washington on Sept. 14.
2018: Made his first appearance in a Gamecock uniform on Oct. 6 against Eastern Kentucky... Had a career high day at Safety recording three tackles including one unassisted and two with assistance... Also saw his first action in the backfield with a pass breakup against the Colonels.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach David Powell at McAdory High School in McCalla, Ala…led the Yellow Jackets to a runner-up finish in their region and to the AHSAA Class 6A Playoffs…played both wide receiver and defensive back for the Yellow Jackets…helped the MHS offense to over 21 points per game and paced a defense that held foes to under 15 points per game.
PERSONAL: Born on December 18, 1999, in Birmingham, Ala…the son of Yumana and Corene Lofton…has two brothers, Ja’Vontae and Yumana, Jr…majoring in sports management at JSU.
