JSU CAREER:
2013: Saw action in 14 of the Gamecocks’ 15 games as a junior on the defensive line…recorded 40 tackles, with 3.5 for a loss and 2.5 sacks…also forced a fumble, while being credited with six quarterback hurries and a pass break-up…had four tackles, three solo, two quarterback hurries and a sack in his JSU debut in the Aug. 31 season opener at Alabama State…recorded a season-high nine tackles, seven solo, vs. Southeast Missouri on Nov. 23…had six tackles and a sack assists at Tennessee Tech on Oct. 26…recorded his other sack and forced a fumble in a Nov. 9 win over Eastern Kentucky.
2012: Sat out the season due to NCAA Transfer rules after transferring from NCAA FCS program Georgia Southern.
PRIOR TO JSU: Spent two seasons at Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Ga…was redshirted in 2010 before seeing action in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2011…made five total stops, three solo, and had one sack…also recorded a quarterback hurry.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Mundy’s Mill High School for Coach Peniel J. Dany…selected defensive MVP as a senior…named to all-region first-team defense at linebacker…started as free safety as a sophomore, recording 6 interceptions and 31 tackles…recorded 54 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 tackles for loss as a junior in starting roles as a linebacker and strong safety…started at strong safety and outside linebacker as a senior…led Tigers as a senior with 82 tackles and seven sacks, three forced fumbles and three tackles for loss…defensive captain as a junior…captain of team as a senior… recorded 54 tackles during 2008 season…graduated on the A/B honor roll and was a member of the Region 4 6-A All-Academic team…earned three-star ranking from Rivals.com.
