2014: Saw action in all 12 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, earning the start at tight end in six games…was a second-team All-OVC selection after catching seven passes for 124 yards and tying for the team lead with four touchdown catches…averaged 17.7 yards per catch and 11.3 receiving yards per game…caught his first pass as a Gamecocks in his debut at Michigan State on Aug. 29, a six-yard reception…caught his first career touchdown against UT Martin on Oct. 4, a 12-yard pass from Eli Jenkins…caught a 16-yard scoring strike from Jenkins the next week at Tennessee State…recovered a fumbled reception in the end zone at Austin Peay on Nov. 1, giving him credit for a touchdown catch, and took a short pass from Jenkins 58 yards for a score at Southeast Missouri on Nov. 22.

PRIOR TO JSU: Spent two seasons at Butte College in Oroville, California…helped lead BC to a share of the National Junior College National Title in 2013…played in 12 games and amassed over 300 yards and eight touchdowns…ranked eighth in the California Community College Athletic Association in touchdown grabs and fourth in league games only…named First Team All-American as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Arlington High School and was a four-year starter for the Eagles…named second team All-State twice as a junior and senior…was tabbed to the All-District and All-region squads in back-to-back seasons at AHS…helped AHS to a conference crown as a junior…also played basketball and participated in track and field.

PERSONAL: Full name is Charles ‘Bo’ Brummel…was born on December 17, 1993…is the son of Jerri Ann and Bud Brummel…both mother and father played basketball at St. Martins University…has one brother, Bradey…majoring in criminal justice at JSU.
