JSU CAREER: 2017: Made four starts and appeared in all 12 games for the second-straight year…finished with the second most stops by a defensive lineman…registered five tackles in the home opener vs. Liberty…later matched his career high with six tackles against Southeast Missouri on Oct. 28, and again against Kennesaw State in the FCS Playoffs…blocked a late field goal attempts versus SEMO and Murray State…also registered a sack and forced a fumble against the Racers…of his 35 tackles, 15 were solo stops including 5.5 tackles for loss…finished with 3.5 sacks…earned All-OVC Second Team honors.
2016: Started all 12 games as a sophomore in the middle of JSU’s defensive line…totaled 31 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and three quarterback hurries…blocked a kick against Austin Peay on Oct. 15…recovered a fumble against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 8…recorded at least one tackle in every game of the season…had season high six tackles at Murray State on Nov. 12…recorded two tackles at LSU on Sept. 10…key factor in JSU ranking fourth nationally in total defense, fifth in rushing defense and second in pass efficiency defense…helped the Gamecock defense hold opponents to a .231 success rate on third downs, the best mark in the nation.
2015: Saw action in 13 of JSU’s 15 games making seven starts on the defensive line…made his JSU debut at No. 6 Auburn where he recorded two unassisted tackles and recovered a fumble…had a season best four tackles in the playoff contest against Charleston Southern…finished the season with 25 total tackles and 2.5 for losses…also credited with a QB hurry at UT Martin…a key member of a defense that finished with the fourth-most season tackles in school history (1,101).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Edgar Carson at Lovejoy High School in Lovejoy, Ga…listed as a two-star recruit by Rivals.com…a first team All-State pick by the Georgia Sportswriters Association and also named to the All-Region 2-AAAAAA Team as a senior…named one of Georgia’s 10 best Offensive Linemen in 2014 by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution…earned first team All-State honors as an offensive lineman…also won the Clayton County title in the shot put as a member of the LHS track and field team…chose the Gamecocks over James Madison and William & Mary.
PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 29, 1996...the son of Randy and Alzada Robinson...has one sister, Taylor...majoring in marketing at JSU.
