Biography

JSU CAREER: Fall 2020/Spring 2021: Started in all 13 games throughout the fall and spring as a redshirt sophomore...earned All-OVC Second Team honors in his breakout season at linebacker with the Gamecocks...was second on the team in tackles with 85 on the year, including 28 solo stops and 10.5 tackles for 27 yards lost... had a career-high day in tackles in the second round of the FCS Playoffs against Delaware with 12 total and two solo stops... recorded the first sack of his career against Tennessee State on March 7, followed by his first solo sack ever against Eastern Illinois on April 3 for a loss of three yards... from secondary he made two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, and his first career interception against Mercer in the only home game of the fall on October 10.

2019: Started two games and appeared in 11 overall, making his first career start on the road against Austin Peay...recorded 26 tackles on the year including 1.5 tackles for nine yards lost...had a career-high day in his first start at JSU making four unassisted tackles and two with assistance...also recovered a fumble against Chattanooga in the home opener along with two quarterback hurries as well.
 
2018: Made appearances in four games, including his first three straight in his first season as a Gamecock... Playing mostly on special teams, he also recorded his first tackle as a defensive back in the final game of the season in the playoff game at Maine on Dec. 1... His first tackle against Maine was also his first for loss.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Bill Smith at Munford High School in Munford, Ala…a first-team all-state selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a senior in 2017, when he was also named the WBRC Fox 6 Sideline Class 4A Defensive Player of the Year…a first-team all-county and all-region pick in his senior season, when he had 153 total tackles, 101 of which were solo stops…also recorded five sacks, 16 tackles for a loss and two interceptions in his senior campaign that saw the Lions post a 9-2 record and claim the AHSAA Class 5A Region 5 title…was named to the TV24 All-Star Team…over his career at MHS, recorded over 200 tackles, 10 sacks, 25 tackles for a loss and three interceptions.
 
PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 16, 1999, in Anniston, Ala…the son of Shane and Callie Clark…has an older brother – Tyler…majoring in environmental science at JSU.
