(2017): Concluded his first season as a Gamecock with a 2-2 record in 17 appearances … had an 8.22 earned run average after allowing 28 earned runs in 30.2 innings … struck out 26 batters and walked only 11 … made five appearances in OVC play and struck out four batters, walked only one and allowed three earned runs … made his collegiate debut with a one-run outing over three innings at Florida International on Feb. 18 … made his first career start against Samford on March 14 and struck out five batters over the course of 3.2 innings … credited with seven scoreless pitching performances.
HIGH SCHOOL: Local product from Calhoun County and Alexandria High School…played for Andy Shaw at AHS…claimed honorable mention all-state honors for the 2016 Class 5A Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State squad after posting a 7-1 mark on the hill and an earned run average of 1.67…named the 2016 Anniston Star Class 4A-7A Player of the Year…played in the 2015 AHSAA North/South All-Star Game and was the winning pitcher in the contest…helped the Valley Cubs to the Calhoun County Championship in 2013 and 2015 and four consecutive area championships from 2013-16…combined for 18 wins as a Valley Cub…also an offensive threat at AHS as he led the team with five home runs and a .377 batting average…also had six doubles and 18 RBIs with an on-base percentage of .422.
