JSU CAREER
2014: JSU’s backup long snapper as a junior…saw action in every game in 2014…vital to the success of the Gamecocks’ special teams unit.
2013: Saw his first action in a JSU uniform against Murray State on Sept. 28 as a long snapper…also on the field in two other games (Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky.).
2012: Did not see action as a redshirt freshman.
2011: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Westbrook Christian in Rainbow City, Ala…played for Tony Osborne at WC…a three-time all-district and all-region performer for the Warriors…helped lead Westbrook Christian to a 10-1 mark as a senior and capture the region crown in 2009 and 2010…nominated to the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award list in the state of Alabama…served as team captain as a senior for Westbrook Christian…also played on the baseball diamond for the Warriors and was tabbed all-region as a junior…member of the four-time region champion Warrior baseball club…served as Student Government President, an honor student and named to the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Full name is Chad Coleman Sharp…son of William and Kay Sharp…born Oct. 12, 1992, in Gadsden, Ala…has a younger sister, Kendall…earned his degree in business management and is working toward his MBA at JSU.
