JSU CAREER
2014: Started nine games for the Gamecocks as a junior and was the Gamecocks big stopper up front…led the JSU defensive linemen with 37 tackles, nine for a loss and 3.5 sacks to earn Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors…was also named to the First Team All-OVC squad and two All-America teams (AP – Second Team Defense and Sports Network – Third Team Defense)…had 20 solo tackles and 17 assisted stops…made 9.0 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception, two passes broken up, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick…led the Gamecocks to a win over Tennessee State on Oct. 11 by recording two tackles and grabbing his first career interception to stop a TSU drive late in the game…also had a sack that forced a fumble that was recovered by JSU in that win…had a season-high six tackles against UT Martin on Oct., 4…was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Newcomer of the Week on Sept. 6 after recording five solo stops, two tackles for a loss, one sack and a forced fumble in a win at Chattanooga.

2011: Appeared in all 13 games…10 tackles, including 1.5 TFL (-3) and a sack…tallied one tackle in season opener against Utah State…three tackles in win over Mississippi State…registered one tackle at Clemson and in win over FAU…credited with one tackle and half a TFL?at Arkansas…recorded his first career sack against Florida…one tackle at LSU…credited with one QB hurry against Ole Miss…one tackle in win over Samford.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at B.C. Rain High School for Coach Eric Scott…listed as the nation’s No. 44 defensive end and the No. 18 player in the state of Alabama by Scout.com…named the nation’s No. 46 defensive end by ESPN.com/Scouts, Inc.…listed as the No. 22 player from the state of Alabama and the No. 64 OLB in the nation by Rivals.com…ranked as the No. 16 recruit from Alabama by SuperPrep…named to the All-Southeast Region team by PrepStar…No. 16 on the Mobile Press-Register’s Elite 18…No. 24 on the Birmingham News’ list of the Alabama Super Seniors…as a senior, totaled 80 tackles with five tackles for loss and one interception returned for a touchdown while earning Class 4A honorable mention all-state honors…80 tackles during junior season with seven sacks.

PERSONAL: Born May 2, 1992, in Mobile, Ala...son of Rhonda Sigler and Bernard Jackson, Jr...has three brothers, Brandon, Bernard and Octavian, and three sisters, Latonya, Latavia and Olivia…majoring in public administration at JSU.
