Biography

JSU CAREER: Fall 2020/Spring 2021: Started seven of JSU’s 13 contests throughout the fall and spring season...was second on the team in rushing with 687 yards on 137 carries…set a new long of 66 yards against Tennessee Tech on February 28...recorded back-to-back games with over 100 yards rushing with a career-high 116 coming in the upset victory against Florida International... also had four straight contests with a score, including two against Davidson in the first round of the FCS Playoffs... made 17 catches for 195 yards and a touchdown coming on a 54-yard catch-and-run against Tennessee State to finish the season with 909 all-purpose yards.

2019: Appeared in 11 of 12 games played in his second year carrying the ball for JSU...rushed the ball 19 times for 137 yards with the longest run of his career coming at 58 yards against Tennessee Tech on Nov. 9... also caught two passes for nine yards on the year... returned kickoffs as well, making five returns for 53 yards, finishing the year with 199 total all-purpose yards... also recorded a solo tackle against Tennessee Tech.

2018: Made appearances in seven games in his Freshman year at Running Back for the Gamecocks... Carried the ball 31 times for 195 yards with a long of 40 and 3 touchdowns coming against Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 8... Also made two receptions for 5 yards with a long of 5... Returned a kickoff in the 2018 FCS Playoff matchup against Maine for 13 yards, totaling his all-purpose yards to 214.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four seasons for head coach Johnny White at Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Ga…received a two-star rating from Rivals.com…a first team all-state, all-district and all-region selection for the Tigers…named a Rising Seniors All-Star during the 2017 campaign…toted the ball for 1,496 yards and 13 touchdown on 9.2 yards per carry his senior season…Atlanta Journal Constitution First Team selection…received offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, Samford, Toledo and Troy.
 
PERSONAL: Born on October 2, 1999, in Atlanta, Ga…the son of Charles Ferrell and Annette West…has two younger sisters, Patricia and Janiya…majoring in Biology at JSU.
