Biography

JSU CAREER:
2013:
Played in all 15 games as the primary long snapper for the Gamecocks…a key component in the success of the JSU special teams as it connected on 24-of-32 field goals, including five made by Grifin Thomas against North Alabama on Sept. 14, which set a school record for made field goals in a single game…also played a pivotal role in the Jax State punting game.

2012: Saw action in all 11 games as a sophomore as the Gamecocks’ long snapper…served on both the punt and placekicking teams.

2011: Did not see action during the 2011 season. 

2010:
Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Whitewater High School for Amos McCreary…earned all-region honors for offensive line twice, defensive line once and twice for long snapper…was captain of the all-county team as a senior…was a four-year letterman…team posted a 9-3 record his sophomore season and advanced to the state playoffs.

PERSONAL: Full name is Andrew David Dean…son of David and Debrah Dean…born on May 18, 1991, in Brooks, Ga.…has one sister, Lea, and one brother, Parker…majoring in business at JSU.
