SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for the Falmouth Commodores in the prestigious Cape Cod League in 2010 for Jeff Trundy…played for the Cincinnati Steam of the Great Lakes League in 2009, where the team won the League Championship…Played for Midland, out of Cincinnati, for Andy Ey and Bart Hammock his in 2007 and 2008.
 
JSU CAREER:
 
(2011) Played in 45 games as a junior with 41 starts in right field…finished third on the team with a .346 batting average…had 55 hits, 13 doubles, led team with four triples and had seven home runs…also finished with 38 RBI and scored 38 runs…led team with a .610 slugging percentage and posted a .411 on-base percentage…hit .464 vs left-handers…hit .400 with bases loaded and .394 as leadoff…led team with a .490 batting average vs OVC opponents with a team-high five home runs and 21 RBI…had an amazing .922 slugging percentage vs OVC foes and a .536 on-base percentage…hit .611 vs OVC left-handers…had 14 multiple-hit games, including seven 2-hits, three 3-hits, three 4-hits and one 5-hit game…finished with 11 multiple-RBI games, including six 2-RBI, three 3-RBI, one 5-RBI and one 6-RBI game…had a season-best six game hitting streak and a 13-game reached base streak…went 2-for-4 and scored three runs at MTSU on 2/25…had a pair of hits, including his first home runs of the year vs Indiana and scored two runs on 3/15...named the OVC Player of the Week on 4/11 after posting a career weekend by going 9-for-14 with eight RBI and nine runs scored at Murray State…he also hit a solo home run in all three games at Murray…was named to the OVC All-Tournament team after batting 10-for-22 with six RBI and five runs scored…had his best game of the OVC Tourney by going 5-for-5, including a double and HR, and finished with three RBI and scored two runs vs Southeast Missouri in the semi-finals.
 
(2010) Missed the first nine games of the year because of off-season shoulder surgery, but came back to play in 48 games and started 47 (all in right field) for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…hit .290 with nine doubles, three triples, 12 home runs and 46 RBI, while committing just one error in 102 chances in the field…hit .373 with runners in scoring position…had 13 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5 outing at Kennesaw State on April 13 that saw him single twice, triple and homer…hit safely in his last eight games, a stretch that included a pair of three-hit efforts…went 3-for-5 with a double in the OVC Championship Game vs. Tennessee Tech on May 30…led the team and was sixth in the OVC after being hit by a pitch 11 times…in the OVC Tournament, went 5-for-13 (.385) with two doubles, a triple and  an RBI.
 
(2009) As a true freshman, was named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year after leading the Gamecocks with a .393 batting average…was one of two Gamecock freshman to be named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America squad, joining Sam Eberle…played and started 44 games, with 41 starts in right field and three as DH…led the OVC with 21 doubles and finished eighth nationally…scored 48 runs and had nine home runs, 46 RBI and tied for team lead with 13 hit-by-pitch…finished with a .482 on-base percentage, sixth best in the OVC, while posting a .687 slugging percentage, seventh best in the conference… had 21 multiple-hit games and 13 multiple-RBI games…made his JSU debut in the season-opener at Appalachian State, going 1-for-3 with two walks and scored two runs…missed nine games (Feb. 22-March 11) with an injury, but returned on March 13 vs Miami (Ohio)…batted .422 vs OVC opponents, going 35-for-83, with 10 doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI…hit his first collegiate home run, a three-run shot, in the first inning at Murray State on 3/21…went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a pair of doubles vs Austin Peay (3/29)…had a career-high four RBI after going 3-for-5 to help the Gamecocks to a 9-7 win over No. 1 Georgia on 4/22…was named to the OVC All-Tournament team after going 9-for-19 with seven RBI and four doubles, including a 3-for-3 performance vs Eastern Illinois (5/21)…finished the season on an eight-game hitting streak…had a hit in 27 of the last 29 games of the season.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Chuck Laumann and Greg Leurck at Oak Hills High School…was an honorable mention All-City his junior and senior years…was named team Best Hitter as a junior and Best Defensive Player his senior year…named to the East vs West All-Star game and to the Mizuno All-Star game his senior year after batting .370 with six doubles, four home runs and 18 RBI…was a three-year starter that posted a career batting average of .345 with six home runs and 43 RBI…helped the Highlanders to the league championship his sophomore season…also lettered in basketball…was an honor student.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Kyle Edan Bluestein…son of Ron and Beth Bluestein…born on December 23, 1989…lists the Cincinnati Reds as his favorite Major League team and Josh Hamilton is his favorite player…majoring in Business Management at JSU.
