SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for Indiana Scout Team in 2006 and 2007 and the Pony Express Club in 2008…was the ace pitcher for the Pony Express Club in 2008.
 
JSU CAREER:
 
(2011) Saw action in 23 games, all out of the bullpen as a junior…finished with a 3-2 record with one save…posted a 3.52 ERA in 46.0 innings on the mound…allowed 57 hits, 36 runs, 18 earned with 23 strikeouts and 20 walks…allowed just one earned run in his first six appearances – a span of 14.2 innings…picked up a save after recording a season-high three strikeouts vs Harvard (3/4) in 3.2 innings…had his longest outing of the year at Middle Tennessee, scattering five hits over 4.0 innings…earned his first win after throwing just three pitches and recording one out in a 5-2 win over Samford…earned his second win after pitching 1.0 innings at UAB as the Gamecocks rallied for a 13-10 win on (4/5)…notched his third win on May 20 in 2.0 innings of relief in a 7-6 Gamecock win over Morehead State.
 
(2010) Saw action in a team-high 29 games, all out of the bullpen as a sophomore...finished with a 6-1 record and one save, which tied for most wins on the team…posted a 6.02 ERA in 52. 1innings on the mound…allowed 58 hits, 39 runs, 35 earned runs with 27 strikeouts and 24 walks…recorded a season-high five strikeouts and recorded his lone save at Eastern Kentucky (4/16)...recorded multiple strikeouts in seven games...tossed a season-high four-innings, allowing no runs on one hit at Kennesaw State (4/13)...allowed no runs in 11 of his 29 outings…earned wins over Troy (3/23), UT Martin (3/27), Murray State (4/10), Kennesaw State (4/13), Austin Peay (4/17) and Tennessee Tech (5/30)…posted a 4-0 record and a save vs OVC opponents…earned a win in the OVC Tournament after pitching 3.1 innings of relief, allowing just two hits in the OVC Championship game against Tennessee Tech…the Golden Eagles hit just .167 vs the left-hander as the Gamecocks won their fifth OVC Championship since 2003.
 
(2009) As a true freshman, made 23 appearances on the mound and recorded a pair of starts…posted a 3-3 record with a 3.93 ERA…pitched 68.2 innings, the second most on the team…allowed 75 hits, 44 runs, 30 earned with 33 strikeouts and 28 walks…made his JSU debut at Appalachian State on 2/21, tossing 4.2 innings, allowing three hits with a career-high five strikeouts…made his first career start on 2/24 vs UAB, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing just two hits, but giving up four runs…earned his first win of the year on April 11 at Southern Illinois, pitching 3.1 innings with three strikeouts and just two hits…pitched 4.1 innings of relief and did not allow a run to earn a 10-5 win at Eastern Illinois on 4/19…pitched the Gamecocks to a 9-3 win in the OVC Tournament, not allowing a run in a season-high 5.0 innings on the mound.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Tom Anderson at Brown County High School…was a second-team All-State selection after posting a perfect 7-0 record and three saves on the mound with a 2.10 earned run average and 77 strikeouts…also batted .474 and had 32 stolen bases after helping the Eagles to a 22-3 record his senior year and was named teams Most Valuable Player…was a two-time first-team All-District selection in 2007 and 2008…helped the Eagles win the 2007 conference championship…played in the Junior Select All-Star team in 2007 and the Indiana East-West All-Star game in 2008…also lettered in basketball and tennis…was named team MVP in 2007 and 2008 in tennis after posting a career 38-13 record…was a two-time first-team All-District selection in tennis and helped the Eagles win two conference championships…was an Academic Scholar for four years…was an honor student…earned a total of nine varsity athletic letters…won the Superintendent’s Award for posting the highest GPA in baseball and basketball in 2008…was named Who’s Who Among American High School Students.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Tanner Paul Freshour…son of Dave and Sandy Freshour…born on May 4, 1990…has one older brother, Graham, and one older sister, Mara, who played basketball at Florida State…lists Ken Griffey, Jr., as his favorite player…majoring in Biology at JSU.
