JSU CAREER
2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
2013: Started all 15 games at left guard on the JSU offensive line…posted a grade of 83 percent on the season…paved the way for the Gamecocks offense to reach new heights rushing the ball as it led the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing offense and scored a league-best 48 rushing touchdowns…Jax State ranked 12th nationally in rushing offense with 239.1 yards per game…JSU also ranked among the league leaders in scoring offense and total offense…the Gamecock trenches took pride in protecting the quarterback as JSU ranked fifth in the OVC in sacks allowed.
2012: Started on the left side of the offensive line in nine of the 11 contests at left guard…helped the Gamecocks’ ground attack finish third in the Ohio Valley Conference, averaging 191 yards per game…Jax State ranked second in the OVC against conference foes with 217 yards rushing per game and a 4.6 yards per carry mark in conference match ups.
2011: Played in seven games against Ohio Valley Conference squads…earned his first start of the season at left guard in the season finale at Tennessee State…helped lead JSU to the second-best rushing offense in the Ohio Valley Conference and ranked among the top offenses in the OVC in scoring and total offense…carded 39 knockdowns and played over 300 snaps in the JSU trenches.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Josh Niblett at Hoover High School…was a first-team all-state selection as a senior after leading the Bucs in both pancake blocks and knockdowns…was also a first-team all-region and all-district lineman…named to The Birmingham News All-Metro Team after helping the Bucs to a 14-1 record as a senior…team went 14-1 his junior year and won the Class 6A State Championship…named to the Top 5 in the national underclassmen combine top prospects…won the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award in 2010 and was the Hoover Athlete of the Year in 2010.
