2016: Saw action in all 12 games as a sophomore…finished the season with 17 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks…also credited with a forced fumble and four quarterback hurries…recorded at least one tackle in the season’s final 11 games…had six multi-tackle performances…finished with two tackles against SEC foe LSU on Sept. 10…forced his lone fumble of the season against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 29…had 1.0 sacks at Liberty (9/24), at Eastern Kentucky (10/22), Eastern Illinois (10/29) and at Murray State (11/12)…also had a tackle in the Gamecocks’ second-round playoff game against Youngstown State.
2015: Made his JSU debut in the fifth game of the season against Mississippi Valley State and saw action in the final 11 games of the season…had six multi-tackle performances…recorded a safety at Tennessee Tech on Oct. 17 and recovered a fumble against Southeast Missouri on Nov. 14…finished the season with 18 tackles with 7.5 coming as tackle for losses…contributed three sacks for a defensive unit which tallied the second most sacks in a season (40.5) in JSU history.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at nearby Saks High School for head coach Jonathan Miller…helped the Wildcats claim the Region 5 Championship in 2013 as a junior…helped the SHS to the semifinals of the AHSAA State playoffs in 2013…named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s All-State First Team in 2014 as an offensive lineman…tabbed to the All-Calhoun County squad on offense and defense…accumulated 147 tackles and picked off three passes at SHS…member of the WEAC-TV24 Pigskin Roundup All Star Team at the middle linebacker spot.
