2014: Played in all 12 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, starting against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 25…recorded 15 tackles on the season, including 11 solo stops...had a season-high five tackles, all solo, in that TTU game…had three tackles in the season opener at Michigan State…recorded a pair of stops against Sam Houston State in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.

2013: Appeared in 14 of the Gamecocks’ 15 games as a sophomore, earning the start at UT Martin on Oct. 5…served as a reserve on defense and emerged as a leader on special teams…totaled 13 tackles, eight solo, on the year, including one for a loss…had a season-high five stops at UTM, including a tackle for a loss of two yards…had a pair of stops in the Aug. 31 season opener at Alabama State, one of four multi-tackle games on the year.

2012: Saw limited action in six games for the Gamecocks as a redshirt freshman…finished the season with four tackles, making two solo stops and two assists…made his collegiate debut against Arkansas on Sept. 1 and recorded two tackles…finished with two tackles against Southeast Missouri on Sept. 29…also saw action against Chattanooga, Eastern Illinois, Tennessee State and UT Martin.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Matt Brooks at Childersburg High School…played three seasons of football for the Tigers…earned Offensive Most Valuable Player honors as a senior…named to the all-county First Team…also participated in track at CHS.

PERSONAL: Full name is Santavius A. Oden…born on June 16, 1993, in Sylacauga, Ala…son of Andrew and Sandra Keith…has two younger sisters, Andrea and Brittany…is majoring in liberal studies at JSU.
