PRIOR TO JSU: Played two seasons at Division II Minnesota Crookston, where he also played basketball…as a sophomore in 2012, was the Golden Eagles leading passer and second leading rusher…was 168-for-293 passing for 1,642 yards and 10 touchdowns, while running for 157 yards and three scores on 77 attempts…also caught one pass for five yards…his 168 completions and 293 pass attempts are both school records, while his 1,642 yards are second-most in a season in school history…threw for 2,374 career yards and 15 touchdowns in just two years, both fifth-highest career totals in school history…was 78-for-156 passing for 732 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman in 2011, while running for 712 yards and eight touchdowns on 162 carries.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Ga…threw for 914 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior at CHS, while running for 175 yards to lead the Trojans to a 14-1 record.

PERSONAL: Son of Anthony and Cindy Barge…has four brothers, Josh, Samuel, Christian and Isaiah, and two sisters, Ansley and Neziah…his brother Josh is a wide receiver for the Gamecocks…his father played college basketball at West Georgia, where he was inducted into the UWG Hall of Fame in 1999, and went on to play professionally…majoring in liberal studies at JSU.
