JSU CAREER:
2013: Started all 15 games on the defensive line for the Gamecocks as a junior…earned Second Team All-OVC honors in a season that saw him rack up 46 tackles on the season, including 32 solo and a team-high 11.5 in the backfield…was second on the team with 5.5 sacks for a total loss of 33 yards for opposing offenses…made at least one stop in all 15 games for JSU, including a season-high seven at Austin Peay on Nov. 2, a game that also saw him record a sack and two stops behind the line of scrimmage…made six tackles, all solo, at Georgia State on Sept. 21…credited with two quarterback hurries on the year…had multiple tackles in a game 13 times.

2012: Started all 11 games for Jacksonville State as a sophomore…was the Gamecocks’ most productive tackler up front, finishing fifth on the team with 43 stops…made 25 solo tackles and three in the backfield…notched a season-high nine stops in a Sept. 29 win over Southeast Missouri, including a sack for a loss of six yards…had seven tackles in the Sept. 8 home opener vs. Chattanooga…made a season-high six solo stops, including a sack, against Austin Peay on Nov. 10…recovered a fumble in the season opener at Arkansas on Sept. 1…had one quarterback hurry to go along with five tackles on Nov. 3 at UT Martin.

2011: Saw action in 11 games as a true freshman…made five tackles, including four solo and one for a loss…made his collegiate debut against UT Martin in the season opener and one week later had two tackles at Chattanooga…notched a tackle in the backfield against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 5.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Spence McCracken and Brian Blackmon at Opelika High School…was a first-team all-region selection as a senior…played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game…was a four-year letterman for the Bulldogs in football, baseball and wrestling.

PERSONAL: Full name is Caleb Gray Lawrence…born on Dec. 15, 1992, in Opelika, Ala…son of Joel and Jan Lawrence…has one older brother, Chance, and one younger sister, Clarke…is majoring in liberal studies at JSU.
