JSU CAREER:
2013: Played in the first 12 games of the season before missing the final three as a junior for the Gamecocks…recorded 24 tackles, 14 solo, and forced a fumble on the year, while notching 3.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks…Had his best game at Eastern Illinois on Nov. 16, when he totaled 11 tackles, one for a loss…picked up his first career tackle in his debut at Alabama State in the Aug. 31 season opener…had six stops, two sacks and forced a fumble against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 9.
PRIOR TO JSU: Played for head coach Tom Minnick at Arizona Western College in Yuma, Ariz…in 2012, was second on the team with 41 tackles and helped lead the Matadors to an 8-2 record and the Toro Bowl title, their first bowl win in 40 years…added 1.5 sacks and eight tackles for a loss during the season, while also recovering two fumbles and breaking up a pair of passes…played his freshman season for head coach Troy Morrell at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan…totaled 48 tackles, 29 solo, a sack and five tackles for a loss to lead the Grizzlies to the national title game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, Ga., in his junior and senior seasons…had 110 tackles as a senior despite missing two games with an injury…as a junior, had 125 tackles and six sacks…a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com…played first two seasons at North Clayton High School before transferring to Jonesboro.
