HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Vestavia Hills for legendary coach Buddy Anderson…helped the Rebels to back-to-back Region Championships…team finished 11-3 and lost in the state semifinals…teammate of Dalton Campbell, who also prepped at VHHS…was an All-State selection as a senior by the Alabama Sports Writers Association…a member of the Over The Mountain Journal All-Over the Mountain Team in 2013…voted team captain as a senior.

PERSONAL: Full name is Ryan Russell Childers…was born on February 28, 1996…is the son of Herb and Cindy Childers…majoring in accounting at JSU.
